Innovative Pump Technology, Powered by Gorman-Rupp

At Gorman-Rupp, technology is more than performance, it’s about smart engineering, real-world reliability, and long-term value. From our industry-leading self-priming technologies to fully engineered pumping systems, we develop solutions that perform in the most challenging environments. Our technologies reflect nearly a century of innovation, built to solve the challenges of today and tomorrow.

The Gorman-Rupp Wet Self-Priming Technology

Simple, Safe, and Reliable Above-Ground Pumping

Gorman-Rupp’s wet self-priming pumps are engineered to sit “high and dry” above the ground, while maintaining powerful suction capabilities. These pumps automatically prime and re-prime without needing external systems or manual assistance, even when the suction line is empty. With no need to enter a sump or pit for maintenance, they offer unmatched safety, easy access, and reduced downtime.

Dry Self-Priming (Priming-Assisted) Technology

Fast priming, no compromise.

Our dry self-priming pumps (also known as priming-assisted or vacuum-assisted pumps) are designed for applications such as dewatering, bypass operations, and emergency pumping. A built-in priming system quickly evacuates air, allowing fast and automatic priming, even with intermittent or interrupted flows.

Eradicator™ and Eradicator Plus™ Solids Management

Minimize Clogs, Maximize Uptime

The Eradicator™ system features an innovative wearplate and back cover design that continuously breaks down stringy materials such as wipes, plastics, and organic waste before they reach the impeller. The Eradicator Plus™ goes even further, using advanced wear-resistant components for extreme-duty applications. Fewer clogs mean less downtime and lower maintenance.

TPAWS™ – The Twin Port Air Water Separator

Smarter Separation for Superior Performance

A Gorman-Rupp exclusive, the Twin Port Air Water Separator (TPAWS) is designed to enhance dry prime pump performance. It enables the diaphragm vacuum pump to evacuate air during startup and automatically seals once full dynamic operation begins, preventing liquid from entering the vacuum pump.

Highlights:

  • Reduces suction time by up to 30%
  • Flush connection allows fast cleaning of valve seat
  • Protects the vacuum system and extends service intervals

SCS™ Self-Cleaning System

Cleaner, Safer, Modern Pump Stations

Our patented SCS System combines self-priming technology with a unique self-cleaning enclosure. Built for handling solids-laden wastewater without the typical issues of traditional sumps, such as odor, sediment build-up, or confined-space entry- SCS ensures hygienic operation, minimal maintenance, and optimized energy usage. It’s the modern standard for pump station design.

European Assembly & Testing

Local Integration, Global Expertise

Gorman-Rupp pumps sold in Europe are assembled and tested locally by experienced technicians in our European facility. This ensures fast delivery, technical support aligned with regional standards, and full quality assurance. Every component is carefully selected, built, and verified according to Gorman-Rupp’s global standards.
