At Metsä Wood, tree trunks are received for further processing into a wooden end product. The trunks must be kept moist for a period ranging from 9 months to 3 years to prevent deformation and cracking. We installed a Gorman-Rupp VS3A60 pump with a vertical V-belt drive. The pump operates 24 hours a day and has been running without issues since 2017.
