Assembly Technician

Assembly Technician

Are you a true hands-on technician who enjoys working with pumps, combustion and electric engines, and aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves in our assembly department?

For our location in Waardenburg, we are looking for an:

Your Role

As an assembly technician, you are at the starting point of every new Gorman-Rupp product. Based on technical specifications and drawings, you build electrically and diesel-powered pump sets. Your skilled hands and smart approach consistently deliver results you can be proud of—and that make our customers happy. We don’t do mass production, so variety is guaranteed.

At Gorman-Rupp Europe, we build self-priming centrifugal pumps for infrastructure, industry, water boards, and government bodies. It’s a specialized—and fantastic—craft, if we say so ourselves.

In our clean and modern workshop in Waardenburg, you build pump sets from start to finish. You start with the frame or chassis, then install the pump, drive, wiring, control unit, fuel system, exhausts—everything needed. If the customer wants extra-quiet pumps, you also construct the full enclosure.

From Blueprint to Final Product

What could be better than building your own project from A to Z? You start with a drawing and a (often large) pile of parts, and you turn it into a fully functioning product. These can be small pumps that fit in a van, but more and more often, they’re powerful units capable of moving over 2 million liters of water per hour. Of course, you’re never on your own—a friendly team of experienced and enthusiastic colleagues is always ready to help you and teach you all the tricks of the trade.

What Do You Bring?

Experience with pumps and engines is a plus but not a requirement. If you’re precise and have worked on earthmoving machines or agricultural vehicles, or if you enjoy tinkering with cars, scooters, or motorcycles in your spare time, we would love to have you on our team. You’ll receive full support and excellent training.

You feel at home in a company with an informal atmosphere where collaboration and a no-nonsense attitude are key. You are approachable, a team player, and you enjoy working hard. You like contributing alongside colleagues from different departments.

You work in a structured way, keep a good overview of your projects, and focus on detail and quality.
