As a product/marketing specialist at Gorman-Rupp, you don’t just have one challenging role, but two!

As a product specialist, you are responsible for managing Gorman-Rupp’s product portfolio. You play a crucial role in defining the product strategy and contribute to achieving business objectives.

As a marketing specialist, you are responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to increase Gorman-Rupp’s visibility, drive sales, and enhance brand value. This role strongly focuses on international (European) expansion. Finally, you are the Product Owner of ARCHY, our digital rental platform.

Tasks and Responsibilities as Product Specialist

  • Product Strategy: Develop and implement a clear product strategy aligned with current and future market needs.
  • Product Development: Work closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, marketing, and sales to develop new products and improve existing ones.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to understand customer needs and perform competitive analysis through desk research and one-on-one interactions with customers and distributors.
  • Product Launch: Coordinate and manage successful product launches, including developing marketing plans and sales training.
  • Product Management: Manage the product lifecycle, including pricing and discontinuation decisions.
  • Customer Relations: Maintain close relationships with key customers to gather feedback and ensure products meet their expectations.
  • Performance Measurement: Establish KPIs and monitor product performance to ensure they contribute to business growth.

Tasks and Responsibilities as Marketing Specialist

  • Annual Marketing Plan: Developing and executing annual marketing and communication plans.
  • Target Group Segmentation: Identify target groups and segments and create targeted marketing campaigns to reach them.
  • Promotion and Advertising: Develop and execute advertising and promotional campaigns through various channels, including social media, print media, email marketing, and more, in close cooperation with a dedicated content creation and design partner.
  • Website Management: Responsible for keeping the Gorman-Rupp websites up to date.
  • Marketing Content and Materials Management: Manage all content and materials such as images and video material, promotional materials, trade show items, etc.
  • Budget Management: Manage the marketing budget and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Analysis and Reporting: Monitor the performance of marketing campaigns and analyze data to inform decisions and adjust strategy.
  • Brand Management: Ensure consistency and a positive perception of the brand among the public.

 

You are the Product Owner of ARCHY, our digital rental platform. You manage this website including the visual materials and are responsible for pricing.

What Do You Bring?

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as (technical) business administration, marketing, or a relevant technical education.
  • Market and Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of and interest in the specific industries in which Gorman-Rupp operates.
  • Knowledge of Digital Marketing: A solid understanding of digital marketing strategies and tools including SEO, social media, email marketing, and online advertising.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret market data and make strategic decisions.
  • Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with various teams and customers.
  • Project Management: Experience with project management methodologies to keep product launches on schedule.
  • Creativity: The ability to come up with innovative solutions and differentiate products in a competitive market in a creative and noticeable way.
  • Results-Oriented: Driven to achieve measurable results and promote the growth of the product portfolio.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in product management in the industrial B2B sector, preferably in mechanical engineering or related fields.
  • 3-5 years of experience in B2B marketing in an industrial environment and strong knowledge of international distribution strategies.
