Kumla is a small municipality in Sweden, located between Karlstad and Stockholm. In this town, a residential area was expanded with new housing. The existing submersible pump installation was too small to handle all the wastewater from the new homes. Additionally, the municipality demanded improved maintenance convenience, better occupational safety (Arbo), and enhanced hygiene. Another consideration was the desire for the new pumping station to visually blend in with the newly constructed homes.
